Finding Your File Links
File links allow you to give files and documents to your audience on your biolink page. To find them, first navigate to the File Links page by clicking on “File links” the left menu on your dashboard. You can also find them by clicking on your name on the homepage and then “File links.”

File Links Information
You will see the following page:

- File link: Click this to create a file link.
- Export: Export data on your file links for review or analysis. Options are CSV, JSON, or PDF format.
- Filters: Filter or sort your file links. You can also set results per page here.
- Name: The name of the file link. Click this to edit your file link.
- Short URL: The URL where visitors can access your file. Clicking this will download the file.
- Project: The project you’ve assigned this file link to.
- Total pageviews: How often visitors have accessed your file. Clicking this will load a page to show various other statistics about your file link.
- Created on: The date you created this file link.
- Updated on: The most recent date you updated this file link.
- Change Status: Toggle the file link active or inactive. Visitors cannot access inactive file links.
- Copy to clipboard: Copy the file Short URL to paste somewhere else.
- Open the submenu:

- Edit: Click this to edit your file link.
- Statistics: View statistics about your file link, such as page views.
- Create QR: Takes you to create a QR code based on your file link. This allows visitors to access your file by scanning with their phone.
- Duplicate: Creates a new file link with the same information and file as the selected file link.
- Delete: This permanently removes your file link. Make sure you’re certain before clicking this, as it cannot be undone.
Create a File Link
From the File Links page, click on “File link” in the top-right corner.

Next click on “Choose File” and select the file you’d like to upload from your computer. Accepted types of files are images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif), readable documents (.pdf, .doc, .docx) and compressed folders (.zip, .rar).
After that, enter your short URL. This is the URL for the link where visitors can access your file.
Click “Create file URL” when finished.
Edit the file link as needed.
Edit a File Link
From the File Links page, click on the name of the file link you’d like to edit.

- Link: This is the link to your file. Clicking this will access your file.
- Buttons for controlling the file link. These are the same as on the main page.
- File name and link: This is your file on our server. Clicking this icon will open your file.
- Choose File: Click here to upload a new file in place of your current one.
- Short URL: Enter here to change your short URL.
- Force download: Visitors can view some file types, such as pdf or image files, directly in the browser. Toggling this ensures visitors will download the file regardless of type.
- Pixels: Set which tracking pixels are active for your link.
- Temporary URL: Set your file to only be available for a limited time or a certain number of clicks.
- Protection: Set password protection or sensitive content warnings on the link.
- Advanced: Connect the link to a project or add a splash page when visitors click the link.
- Update: Updates your file link with the changes on this page. Remember to click this when you’re finished to save your changes.
